From Day to Night dress

Hello everyone!

Today's outfit is regarding this lovely versatile dress. It can be worn from day to night with slight alterations. I normally wear this to work. But I also wore this to our Christmas Luncheon. I got a lot of compliments on this dress and it is very affordable for only $51.99. This dress if from Ann Taylor Factory, they have great collection of petite dresses, I love it.

I love the flutter sleeves on this dress, it gives very girly look. Dress hits right below the knee so it will be great for work, just put on some black pumps. Also, if you are going on a date right after work, you can just put on some strappy heels with some jewelry and you are ready for the night.

I just love how you can wear this dress in many different ways. I have paired this dress with Vince Camuto Pumps, these shoes are very comfortable to walk in. I have wide feet but this shoes don't feel too tight no me. I feel the  medium fits pretty good on me. I am wearing a size 6M.

For the night out look, I paired this one with LuLus ankle strap heels. These are very comfortable around the ankles and foot-bed has non skid markings so you don't slide through. These are perfect dupe of the Sam Edelman ankle strapheels for much less. Only $31.

Textured Tunic paired with leggings

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I have a casual yet fun outfit today. This textured tunic sweater is very comfortable and so flattering. I love the boat neck detail. The sweater is softly knitted and long enough to cover your behind. It can be easily paired with leggings or jeans. This light blue color is so beautiful. It also comes in gold color. This sweater did not come in petite sizes but the regular XS fits me well.

This ponte leggings are mid rise and slim designed. It hugs the legs pretty nice and it is very comfortable. This material is on the thicker side but it is definitely stretchy and easy to move in. I love this comfy and stylish outfit. It can be easily paired with flats, boots, or mules. I am wearing XSP size.

Leggings and sweater are both from Loft. They have such nice selections of outfits. Make sure to browse their website.

I decided to pair my outfit with this mule by A New Day available at Target. They are trendy and very affordable. I am currently loving this brand, their shoes are so stylish, good quality and comfortable. I am wearing size 6 in these shoes.

Date night

2 days ago we celebrated our 2nd year anniversary. We went to happy hour in Mandarin Roots in Palo Alto. Their chicken wing and calamari was finger-licking good. After happy hour, we went to dinner at La Viga Restaurant, it is mexican/spanish cuisine. Their sangria is so delicious. I chose this amazing jumpsuit form Apricot Lane Peoria. They carry variety of these trendy outfits. When I saw this jumpsuit online I knew I had to get them. The fabric is really soft and rich. It is not like a costume material. It hugs you in the right places and also has a tie in the back so if you need to tighten up a little bit, it works great. I am a petite small size so obviously it was slightly long and whole lot of cleavage was showing. Since I really wanted to wear it for the dinner, I pinned a little on both straps and Voila! it looked perfect. It is a lovely outfit. I am wearing size small. This jumpsuit will be great for spring season as well.

Our Engagement

In a week we celebrate our 2nd marriage anniversary (WOW!) so I wanted to share my engagement story with you guys (short version) before the wedding details. We had been together for 10 years during our engagement. I met my husband when I was in my late late teen. At that time, we were busy focusing on our college and then career. After that, we had to take time to convince our family. And if you've heard the saying that in most Asian countries (families) you not only marry a guy, you marry a whole family. Yep!! it's true! Nothing wrong with that. So really, time went by so fast that 10 years didn't seem too long. We definitely talked about getting married and I always knew he was the one.

The day of our engagement (Jan 31, 2016) was very beautiful and it definitely was a huge surprise for me. He took me to this beautiful winery (Paradise Ridge Winery) in Sonoma near Napa, CA. He had managed to invite our close families there as well. My parents were there with me and they were surprised too. He had asked my dad but my dad didn't know that was the day. When we walked into that "LOVE" sign I kinda felt something (meaning a HINT) but wasn't really sure (I mean we could be there just for a picture). I was definitely nervous and when he got down one knee, I was speechless. He even hired a photographer, she has hiding somewhere but when he got down on one knee she appeared in front of us. It was so magical and just what I had dreamed of. The day was even more beautiful after that and I will always cherish these moments with our family.

Outfit details: This dress is by Eliza J. I love their creation, they are my go to for any event. Unfortunately the one I am wearing is old but I have linked similar dresses here and here. The one thing that I love most about their dress is that they come in petite sizes. I wear size 2P on their dresses.

Weekend Ready

Happy Saturday everyone! I went to the mall and grabbed lunch with my hubby. Today was such a nice day after all the rain here in Northern California. It was good to step outside the house. We went to get ramen and it was delicious. If you are ever in San Jose do try our this place called "The Place Japanese Cuisine."

My outfit for the weekend was very easy and casual. The cardigan (kimono) and shoes are both from Target and are under $30. They are both so comfortable and very classy. I got compliments everywhere. I have linked the kimono here and mules (shoes) here. I am wearing a size XS small in the kimono and size six in the mule.

Also, definitely want to mention these high waist jeans from Topshop. This is my go to jeans. I wear these very often. They are so stretchy and soft and very easy to move in. I got these while ago at Nordstrom anniversary sale. They now have it in a different color which is on sale and are linked here

Let me know in the comment box below how your weekend is going on so far.

Look back to 2018

Since I started my blog late in 2018, there wasn't a lot of post although, I have so much to share. This is why I put down this brief overview of how my 2018 went. With this post, hope you guys get to know me a little better. I have always wanted to start a blog but due to college, CPA exams, work and my wedding, I never got a chance to start. Now that I am done with all this, I finally took a step in starting a blog as well as traveled to a lot of places domestically and internationally in 2018. In new year 2019, I will continue to travel and give more time to my blog.

During the first quarter of the year, I am usually really busy at work until March 31, so, nothing adventurous happens during this time.

Right after the busy season at work ended in 2018, I went to San Francisco Ice cream museum and Color Factory with my husband. These are pop up museums and worth all the hype. They do not sell tickets onsite, you have to buy them online. It was so much fun,  and you can take a lot of Instagram worthy pictures. I am sharing few of mine from both of the museums.

Color Factory is now closed. If you want to go to the Ice cream museum, I have attached a link here

In July, we took a road trip to Colorado to help my brother in law move. We drove through Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. It was a good long drive and also a good break from everything. The weather there was very warm and sunny. Rocky Mountains were oh so beautiful. I loved how green Colorado was. Also, I really wan't dressed appropriately for Rocky Mountains LOL. Oh well.

Denver Botanical Garden:

The same month I went to Chicago for few days because my husband had to attend a conference. I loved it so much, there was so much to do in Chicago. The weather was slightly hot for me but I had a lot of fun. In 3 days, I was able to do a lot of things. If you guys want, I can do a blog on things to do in Chicago at a later time, please let me know. For now, these picture explains how much fun I had.

Chicago Water Taxi - River Crusie:

Buckingham Fountain:

Then, on August, I went to Calgary, Alberta with my dad to catch up with my sisters. It is always so good to spend some quality time with my family. Family is everything. We talk to each other very often and just chit chat silly things. We went to Banff National Park and it was oh so beautiful. The view was to die for from every possible angle. Sadly the first day I was there, the air was too bad and smoky, the view was too foggy due to wildfire in British Columbia. Luckily, the next day it cleared up and we were able to get some good pictures.

Lake Louise - Banff National Park:

Lake Moraine - Banff National Park:

In September, we went to Europe. It was our first time going to Europe and Oh Man! we had a BLAST. It was so much fun, it was everything I imagined. I am so happy I took this trip. I will share my European experience some other time in my blog. Overall my experience was awesome. I went to London, Paris, Lucerne, Florence, Venice, Rome and Positano. Each of these places were very unique. I ate a lot of gelato (like twice a day - no kidding), pastas and house wine. It was really fun.

Positano:

In October, we made a quick trip to Dallas, TX for our friends wedding. We had an amazing time catching up with friends and celebrated the wedding.

Lastly, before the year ended, we made a relaxing trip nearby to Bear Valley, CA. We went tubing, it was my first time. I was very excited to try out and it was great. We rented a cabin through AirBnB and it was all very nice and cozy. We just lit up the wooden fireplace and enjoyed quality time together.

Overall I had so much fun in 2018 and a lot of sightseeing. I had never traveled so much before. I am glad I finally get a chance to do so. I love travelling and hope I get to keep travelling to more places in the future. Also,  I look forward to blogging more in 2019.

Hope you enjoyed reading my 2018 overview. I hope to bring you more in 2019.

New Year Eve - Last day of 2018

On New Year's eve me and my husband took a drive around the coast (Hwy 1) down towards San Francisco. We caught this beautiful last sunset of 2018. I have to say it was one of the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my life.

The weather was nice but windy and as it got darker, it got chilly as well. Also, I am always cold so I planned on wearing warm clothes. It was really a good move.

I wore Jack by BB Dakota Moto Jacket. These are older version so I have linked the newer version in here. I am wearing a size small and the sleeves are hemmed. For hemming, I go to local alterations store nearby where I live.

These pants are from Nordstrom, the brand is Caslon, this is one of the Nordstrom brands. They fit so well, slightly stretchy and very comfortable. Also, they come in petite sizes. I got this during 2018 anniversary sale. Unfortunately, these are sold out completely but here is the dupe version. Note that these dupe version don't come in petite size.

Also, I love this oversized sunglasses from Quay Australia. They are so stylish and yet affordable (less than $100). You can find this at Nordstrom and is linked here.

These boots are from Halogen. Halogen is also one of the Nordstrom brands. I bought these on one of their Anniversary sale loooooong time ago. I love them so much that I still wear them whenever I can. Dupe version of this is linked here from Nine West. I wear size 7 in boots so I can wear socks inside.

I also wore the red coat (in the picture below) as an additional layer so I don't get too cold. This coat is from Thread and Supply available at Nordstrom and linked here. I am wearing size X-Small. I love these and often my go to coat. Red color is not available anymore but there are many different colors to choose from and currently they are less than $50.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone for visiting my site. I hope you stop by very often and support me on my blogging journey. I am glad that I started this journey in 2018 and cannot wait to see what 2019 has in store for me.

Happy New Year 2019 to all!!!
